Holiday Dog Bakes A Pie!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Whenever mom is in a pinch, say she needs a pie for Christmas dinner, it's Holiday Dog to the rescue! (That's me!) Here I am with my apple pie. I'm especially proud of my lattice cuts and egg wash with white sugar sprinkles that look like snow.
Also note the super cool green bell I got from Momma Dog's Pet Sit. I love it!

We drove to see Grandma and Grandpa yesterday on Christmas Eve. Here we are in the car, waiting and waiting. Heaven knows mom can't go anywhere without making a run through the drive-thru at Starbuck's. Hurry up! Did you know those jokers don't have dog biscuits anymore? The lady at the window said it was because they have to be individually wrapped. WHAT? I smell the work of bureaucrats!

I had fun visiting Grandma and Grandpa. They have such a cozy bed for me there, with a great view and plenty of sunbeams to bask in. Here I am contemplating mom's piano interpretation of Waltz of the Flowers. I think the piano needs a tune.

We listened to Christmas music in the car the whole way there and back. Thank goodness I don't have to hear the Chipmunks Christmas any more until next year. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, for the big bag of dog food. Merry Christmas!

Install A Gas Log Fireplace In Just A Few Easy Steps!

Mom got a new gas log fireplace, just in time for some cold weather!

It was really easy to install, and you can see a few demonstrative photos here.

First, make sure everything is included in the box that is supposed to be. CHECK!

Make sure you have all the proper tools, because sometimes the elves can be forgetful. When that happens, they can get frustrated and just give up.

Carl and Jerry are professional engineers, and part-time elves who do nice things for people. Like put together stuff that could blow the building up if Mom tried to do it.

Be sure to sniff out all the parts for quality!

Ooooh, plumber's putty smells like it might be tasty! MMM.

Hey guys, that wrench you were looking for is right here under your feet!

Gosh, it's so hard to keep engineers organized.

And don't forget the instructions! They're under your feet too!

Now add Christmas decorations! Even though there is a screen and it's gas, it's a good thing to keep your decorations clear of the flames and your hearth clean. If you smell gas while the fire is off, open doors and windows and call the gas company!

If all is well, light a match, turn the key, and voila! Now add a snuggie yellow dog, and it's picture perfect!

Thanks Carl and Jerry!

Happy Holidays!

Love,

Lucy

Just In Time! More Stuff On My Head For Thanksgiving!

My favorite friend Kennedee came to town for Thanksgiving!

Here she's patting me on the head, and thinking about putting that pink rabbit on me.

Thinking about it some more here...

The pink rabbit is making it's way onto my head! My back is full of other toys, so of course where else would you put a pink rabbit?

This time Kennedee came with Kay Kay and a smaller, more energetic little wiggle monster. I just had to taste him! Just like a baby, he tastes like sugar and chicken! I only got a few licks, 'cause he moves fast!

I'm so glad my friends came to see me!

Unfairly Accused...of Stinking?!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope your holiday was wonderful!

My trip to Grandma and Grandpa's didn't start out so well. It was cool outside, and I felt so happy and frisky to be out of the backseat of mom's car! Once I got inside, it didn't take long for Mom and Grandma to sniff out that something stunk! The room I was in, right next to the garage... boy it reeked! It smelled like wet dog and hiney! Even though it was chilly out, that didn't stop mom from giving me a bath. Brr!

Here I am above, banished to the porch, cold and wet; Black and white photo below evokes true feelings of misery and banishment. Basket with overturned moonshine jug is only coincidental.

Afterward, I smelled better, but that room continued to stink and stink and stink more! We just couldn't figure it out. And when mom and I got back to Austin, her car didn't stink. I didn't stink either. She sniffed all over me, and just smelled baby shampoo. Even my blankie and pillow didn't stink. We figure I must have stepped in something in Grandma and Grandpa's yard and brought it in the house.

I still had fun visiting you, Grandma and Grandpa. I hope your sunroom doesn't stink anymore!

Love,

Lucy
