Starbuck's is out of dog biscuits. They have been for a couple of weeks. When we went through the drive-thru line yesterday, the curly-haired blonde lady told us they were still out. Well, I couldn't really hold it against her, especially since she's blonde, and I'm blonde. She offered us some whipped cream. Huh? How is that going to work? Are you going to shoot it into my mouth? Mom was visualizing something like me biting at the whipped cream while the lady squirted a can in my face. Hmm. Anyway, mom is always quick with a polite response and told the lady it would give me a tummy ache. I was slightly intruigued, but I guess I'll have whipped cream another time. I hope the barista remembered to put dog biscuits on the order list this week!

Aloha Warrior Cheif Says Declare War on Cancer! Lucy Agrees.
Our friends' dad is pretty sick, and we wish we could cheer him up in person! He lives far away, but we say our prayers for him. In the mean time, one of his sons created three PSA's to Declare War on Cancer! Here is the first, and the other two can be found on YouTube under related videos. We hope Jerry feels better soon. We hope Mr. President hears the message too.
Yellow is my favorite color, btw! Love, Lucy
the garden, and me!

Mom and our neighbor, Kay Kay, planted this little garden. Kay Kay graduated from the same high school as mom! 35 years apart, but still. Small towns don't change much, so they have plenty to talk about. Mom loves visiting Kay Kay because it's a lot like visiting her own grandma. Kay Kay looks a lot like mom's grandma, talks like her, and cooks delicious food. One time, I had a BIG accident in Kay Kay's living room. She just laughed, and didn't get mad at all. I love her! I can't wait for Kay Kay's granddaughter to come and visit again.
It should be known that Kay Kay gets credit for the irises and the little rose bush already being there. I helped with the rest!
Here is a picture of me, looking pretty, again. My first mom would be very proud!

More on Easter, Potted Plants, Me Looking Pretty
Here we are on Grandma's front porch. The day started off rough when I had a little assident with my water bowl, but a nap in the sunshine made all my cares drift away!
Grandma came out and showed me some of her plants, including the rosemary, peppermint, and wild onions she potted for mom to take home. Grandma's definitely got a green thumb! I tried to help as much as I could! Grandma sure is smart about growin' things. I hope mom doesn't let them die.
I spent the rest of the afternoon taking in the sunshine and just looking really pretty!
Easter Flowers, Flying Snacks
We went to Grandma and Pa Pa's house on Easter Sunday, and it sure was a beautiful spring day, despite the blustery weather. Grandma's rosemary bushes were blooming, and this delectable yellow and black snack taunted me by fluttering from bush to bush, oblivious to me, and the fact that I wanted to eat him! There were many other birds and critters I wanted to check out, but mom kept me by her side. She says it's for my own good.
We also saw some of those wierd, cagey brown dogs that run around in groups. You know, the ones with the long skinny legs who leave those silly little poos all over the ground. If I left dainty little poos like that, I sure wouldn't be leaving them laying all around for everyone to see and laugh at. And they seriously need to get a grip. All that darting and hopping and snorting at the slightest noise... they make everybody nervous!
Anyway, it was a fun day. I love Grandma and Pa Pa's house!
Wednesday Night Lessons
Yeah, those are cats on my desktop background! Moving on.

We learned so many fun and interesting things. Did I say that already? Fun and interesting. Some things were confusing, but Allison was a really patient and thoughtful teacher. At one point, I thought it might help to try and climb IN to the computer to sort things out, but Allison cleared things up and we moved on to the next lesson.
It was hard work absorbing all of this information, but after a while I felt like mom had the hang of things and would do okay without me.

Thanks Allison, for the lesson!

Lookin' for the camera cord thingy
If we can't locate the cord, we might have to go to the store and get our pictures on a CD. In the mean time, hum a little "on hold" tune to yourself.
Love, Lucy
